王菀之，1980年6月18日生于中国香港，籍贯广东潮州，原名王爱之，香港创作女歌手。
2000年参加第12届CASH流行曲创作大赛，凭一首《是一个误会没什么可悲》夺得冠军，创作张学友的《我真的受伤了》、蔡依林的《许愿池的希腊少女》和薛凯琪的《小黑与我》。
2005年获唱片公司赏识由幕后转向幕前，2011年10月底，首次登上香港红馆举行两场《水．百合》演唱会。2012年，单曲《留白》获得香港乐坛四大颁奖礼的多项金曲奖；和十大劲歌金曲颁奖典礼的”金曲金“奖。2013年1月，领衔主演的首部电视剧《老表，你好嘢！》播出。2014年10月，再次领衔主演的电视剧《老表，你好Hea!》播出。
讲诉了王菀之饰演的“警队之花”本是一个高智商、高学历、高收入的“三高”女性，她一直认为自己是天底下最幸福的人了。然而，当她的男朋友跟他提出分手之时，她的“幸福世界”就此崩塌了。濒临崩溃的她强打精神回归警局工作，却接受到一份卧底在模特圈的高难度工作。在工作过程中，她遇见了没有经历世事的玩世不恭娘娘腔富二代（周柏豪饰）。于是一个令人啼笑皆非又温情浪漫的爱情故事就此拉开了帷幕。
